Reindeer Fly

These adorable reindeer were illustrated to create a repeat pattern for a wrapping paper design project for Christmas 2025.

The self initiated brief brought together a retro pallet, a diamond shape formed by repeat motifs inspired by the design layouts of the iconic William Morris, and the quaint charm of animal characters stylistically inspired by some of my favourite children’s book illustrators.

The original components were drawn traditionally using a mix of dry and wet mediums, then scanned and digitally painted on top of, then cut out to create the individual pattern components.

I arranged the pattern in Adobe Photoshop and it is printed on 170gsm silk sheets.
